Our family owned cabin is located on the west shore of beautiful Kentuck Lake. This lake is approximately 975 acres and is home to many fish species including musky (class A musky lake), panfish, large and small mouth bass and walleye. It is also large enough for water activities including skiing, tubing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Truly an all-around family lake. Our cabin has two bedrooms. One with a queen size bed and the other has a full size w/twin on top. There is also another full size w/twin on top off the living room. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully furnished. Linens and towels are provided. On chilly nights the wood stove provides plenty of warmth (wood is provided). A TV with DVD player and a limited selection of movies is also furnished. No cell service or internet. There is a large deck which has a table and seating for four. A grill is also available for use. Relax by the fire pit right by the lake. Wood is provided. The dock is a great place to spend the afternoon. Plenty of space to tie up the boat. Many guest enjoy the relaxation that bass lake provides, around Eagle river their is great shopping, fine restaurants. Bass lake is a private lake with no public access. All recreational lake. The Eagle river chain is also close by, which consist of twenty eight lakes to explore.

We love the open floor plan of the kitchen / dining / living room. The house is approximately 1400 square feet all on one convenient level with unique retro decor. There is a detached garage you are welcome to use (as well as anything in it - water toys, adult bike, etc). Toward the east side of the home is 278-acre Bass Lake, where we enjoy 100 feet of private frontage. Max lake depth is 16' - plenty deep for waterskiing and tubing. Fishing success is better known for pan-fish, bass and big pike, but there are muskies and walleye. We have two story windows overlooking a terraced rock pathway to our pier, bench and seasonal 12' rowboat with oars. There is a 6 hp outboard motor you may put on / take off the boat with the understanding user is responsible for use and shall provide the gas as well as the gas / oil mix instructions as provided. For added fun, we have a fishing kayak and paddle! The pier and boat are taken out of the water after October 1. If your visit is after this time, the pier and/or boat may not be available. The wood fireplace and cathedral ceilings in the living room make this the place where you'll love to hang out. In the summer, the lakeside breeze off the large screen doors is great, but we also have two box fans in case you need them. We have 8 patio chairs and 2 lounge chairs on the covered deck overlooking the lake, and a charcoal barbecue. Enjoy privacy on the lake side queen bed bedroom with sliding glass doors. The other bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed. The queen hide-a-bed sofa in the living room sleeps two. There is also a bunk room out in the garage. Although not heated, the room can be a nice escape for the kids to use during summer months. Please note - We don't allow smoking. Up to two pets are welcome - no more, no exceptions. We furnish two adult life jackets, two child life jackets, water toys, games, puzzles, and a 10-speed bike. No laundry machines or services nearby, but Eagle River is 5 miles away and has a laundromat. Plan on bringing your own disposable items (paper products, soaps, charcoal, lighter fluid, etc). We supply the clean linens, house towels and kitchenware. Our dining room table seats six. You'll want to bring your own beach towels, fishing gear, skis or snowmobile, depending on when you're visiting! The snowmobile trail runs east and West along Hwy 70 near us. To reach it from the house, just turn left out of the driveway (1572 West Bass Lake Road), then turn right on Cranberry Road, and then when you reach Hwy 70, the trail is right there. It's the same route as driving to the cabin from Eagle River, in reverse. Bring a cell phone because there is no phone service or wifi. We have ice cube trays, but you may choose to bring extra ice. Bass Lake has no public boat launch, but your private boat can be tied up at our pier. (NOTE: Big Bass Resort is NOT currently offering boat launching as a service). We allow eight people maximum occupancy. A separate, unheated room in the garage that is NOT a bedroom, has a bunk bed set and a queen pull out sofa. Do not plan on using this room as a bedroom as it is not equipped with detectors or heating/cooling. June, July and August are only available to be reserved for a week at a time, with a Sunday arrival. However, if the calendar shows that we have the week still open, request a three night minimum reservation within two weeks of your arrival. We use a lockbox entry code and you can arrive any time after 3 pm. Your $500 damage deposit is returned about fourteen days by VRBO/HomeAway after departure, if you depart by 10:00 am, general clean up is done, and no unreasonable wear and tear occurs. Both bedrooms have queen beds, closets, dressers, ceiling fans and t.v.'s. One bedroom overlooks the lake while the other has beautiful wooded views and french doors that open up onto its own patio. The bathroom is a mix of log and marble. There is a double custom tile vanity and extra large glass shower. The extra deep, large whirlpool clover tub is a wonderful way to relax anytime of the day. The Italian tile throughout is simply stunning. The executive chef kitchen will delight the culinary artist(s). We are just 2 miles from the Nicolet National Forest. Because Carpenter is a peaceful lake, we have a nesting pair of loons that return every year to raise their young on a little island called 'loon island'. Eagles fly by and sometimes perch in the pines. Game fish include bluegills, crappies, northerns, walleye, small and large mouth bass. A few muskies have been caught but not many. The lake is very clear and without algae. There isn't any public boat launch but the Chain of Lakes (28 lakes connected) is just a few miles down the road. This new home was built in July 2008 with the extras and comfort in mind. The furnishings for the home are 'Northwoods' oriented. All the beds are log beds. You'll find Northwoods themed lighting, bear lamps, moose pillows and sconces with pine trees. The gas fireplace with river rock has a half log mantel.
